Soooooo let me come clean.....yes I did totally check our registries the week leading up to the shower. I couldn't help it! And it got worse once we received a present from my Aunt Carol from Houston. Two of the Le' Cruset pieces we wanted! To. Die. For!
This past weekend was a whirlwind and I am still trying to recover from it. Dave was able to stay out and work his weekend off so while I was having all the fun he was/is still out in Yorktown. I drove up to New Braunfels Friday afternoon after work with Bailey which meant dinner out with mom and dad. Place of choice....BJ's! Great food and as always split a Pazookie with dad.
Saturday morning was a quick run through Landa Park. It is always so pretty running by the river with all the animals. My dress fitting went well. And I even found my jewelry and head piece I am going to wear! SCORE! Another thing we can check off the list.
The wedding shower that Momma Sue and Lindsey put on was fantastic! Thank goodness for Dave's family coming because other than Aunt Lynn, no one from my side came. Either way, the food was delicious, the company was great, and we did get some great things for the house.
Since there isn't a place in Alice to get sushi and Dave isn't a big fan of it either, mom and I went to grab some sushi at a local fave Kumori before Lindsey's musical Saturday night. It definitely hit the spot! Lindsey has been performing all month long in a musical called Encore on base so mom and I went to enjoy the show. Mom had never seen her perform before so it was a real treat.
Last stop on a crazy day was to grab a nightcap and say bye to Lindsey before we
headed back to New Braunfels.
