It's Officially Official

This is just too funny not to share!

We got our certified marriage license back in the mail last Friday which meant that Monday morning I had the pleasure of spending a few hours at the Social Security Office and the Dept of Public Safety trying to get everything switched over.

Normally trying to do anything like that here in Alice would be long and the people would not be very friendly however I must have caught everyone on a good day! I was in and out of both places in less than 1.5 hours and the ladies that helped me were both pleasant. Almost everything has been switched over except our bank accounts since Dave is still out on location.

Since the wedding we have been getting back to normal. It has been knowing that the wedding is paid for 100%, Wurstfest was paid for 100%, our Fredericksburg trip will be nice with the spending money we now have and our honeymoon trip is all paid for as well.

We did finally make up our mind as to where/what we are going to do. We are planning to fly into San Diego on a Thursday and spend the evening and next day together. After that we will head north to Carlsbad and crash my sister's family for some fun and touristy adventures. I have never been to San Diego and I wanted to take Dave out to see Carly and the kids at some point anyway so why not kill two birds with one stone? So far on the list of to-do's is a bay dinner cruise, kayaking the LA Jolla caves, the San Diego Zoo, possibly a beer train, the Gas Lamp District & Old Town and then spending time with the kids!
