Financial Peace Journey

So Dave and I are embarking on the journey of going through the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace class at our church. I had mentioned to our Pastor's wife that there was a class at another church in Calallen but she said we could host one as well. So in addition to taking the class I am leading the class! I think maybe it was my calling as my participation to help our members.

If you would like more information on the classes Cross Trails Cowboy Church is hosting, click here.

Last night was the first week of class and Dave Ramsey spoke about Super Saving and the 7 baby steps. Luckily Dave was able to attend the class with me which was great! Our big goal is to get out of debt before we start to build the house. But we learned that the way we have been going about that is wrong insofar as how we have been trying to pay things down and save.

I am confident that after we complete this class Dave and I will be much more educated and better equipped to really take charge of our finances to create a better future.

My take away from class last night was that we need to have plastic surgery (cut up the credit cards) and Dave's was that we need to start RIGHT NOW!

Alice Bridal Shower

My mom took this picture so it might be hard to see but how cute are these?!
It matches so well with the theme of the wedding!
It came and went so fast but it was so nicely put together and I did have lots of fun!

It was held at the Alice Country Club and the hostesses stayed so well with the plum, burlap and lace theme.

Since I sell Thirty-One! I got all the ladies the individual wine bottle thermal with a bottle of our favorite Chardonnay from Becker Vineyards in Fredericksburg.

Ashley & I

Yes Dave even got something!

Beautiful Bridesmaid
With the scheduled events now over I can really focus on getting everything else finished and counting down the days until the big party!

Stuffed, Sealed.....almost delivered!

Project for Labor Day weekend was getting all of the invitations double checked, sealed and
stamped to be able to have them in the mail this week.

Well thank goodness Dave was home because we got it accomplished!
I believe we have around 140 in total.....holy crap!

That is around 280'ish people invited not including kids. I can say with most certainty I am ready for everything to be complete so we can just enjoy all the hard work and hard earned money spend on this giant party! Fingers crossed we don't have any more road bumps along the way....I just
might lose it!

At this point I am just counting down the days until NOLA!
8 days and I will be on a mini vacation with the girls!
