Last few days as a Baker

Today marks ten days to go. Dave left to go back to work....he is on nights this hitch and I am left to handle the little things. We did get the pumpkins last night and that was really cool. I am glad we didn't get as much as I had originally wanted....we would have had a serious pumpkin patch after the wedding in our own front yard if I had.

Today the little things have stressed me out! I feel as though I have been more than accommodating, honest, and we (mostly Dave) have worked very hard at trying to stay on budget and pay cash for everything. I can honestly say this is the most expensive party we will ever throw and I cannot wait for it to be here. Most people have asked if I cannot wait until its over and I can't say yes. I want to enjoy all the hard work and money we and our friends and families have put into it.

I am praying everything goes according to plan and that we have the best time of our lives! But at the end of the day all that matters is we are getting married.....therefore I need to remember to not sweat the small stuff!

In the teens

Dave is still on location so I tried to knock a few things off the to do list this weekend. I have still been receiving jars and wine bottles so it was time to tackle scraping the labels off....but that didn't last very long....
This is the aftermath of wine bottle foil. I had to wait until Sunday afternoon to finish washing all the jars and getting them ready to decorate. I did, however, dress up the thrift store find that my mom picked up!
Added the lace on the basket and the touches of purple. I think I did  pretty good job! I was also able to get the supplies for the chalk board sign for Tristan, painted the H teal, wrapped and finished up all the girls' gifts as well.

3 weeks

We have officially been under the 1 month mark for a week now. And to be honest with Dave's job change, going through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Class, and the wedding literally around the corner I am more stressed out than I really want to be. So the lists are being made and hopefully I don't forget anything!

FPU - Week 3

So Dave Ramsey really knows how to make you stop and put pencil to paper with your finances. And if you weren't all ready getting an idea of how much you are in debt, week three will definitely make you realize it! I am glad we are going through the class however it is difficult to really start kicking of what he talks about because we are unsure of how Dave will be getting paid since he just started his new job, our finances are joined since we aren't married yet, and he has been gone so we haven't been able to communicate about the lessons then work on the homework together. However I have taken the lead on getting everything put together for us so we have a clearer picture of what needs to be paid off and what needs to be saved so we can apply for the loan for our house in the spring on 2016.

I am glad I chose to take on the leadership role for the class, as I have decided to teach it again in the spring. I know by then Dave and I will have our finances joined so it will be a great refresher for me to double check everything from this time around. By far, I am beyond glad we are taking this class. We will really be on the right path when it comes time for any large financial decisions in the future.

The Weekend

Two weekends ago was my final fitting for my dress (eeeeek!) and we took pictures so we made a weekend out of it in Gruene.

My dress fit perfectly everywhere except it was a smidge too long. Alterations still weren't cheap but at least I knew as long as I didn't gain weight my dress would still look awesome on me! I cannot wait to see it in a few weeks all clean and pressed.

Sunday we went to Gruene to take pictures. I opted out of taking bridals and instead we took photos together. This session was schedule for two weeks away however Dave decided to take a different career path and started a new job with a coil tubing company. With that came schedule changes so he would not have been here in two weeks. Sooooo Kendra met us in Gruene Sunday afternoon and here are a few highlights from all the pictures she took!

In all seriousness........

Shocking......

What do I do with my hands?

Peace out! - Dave
